Merry Christmas from a donkey
Hear and listen to me, Balaam’s donkey speaking again,
You ask me what kind of presents we exchange for Christmas, but
We don’t have presents to exchange and Santa doesn’t come our way.
And we don’t have unwanted presents that end up in thrift shops,
And we don’t have thrift shops. What we have is all we have.
Thrift is our lives, thrift is our food and Santa doesn’t come our way!
Santa doesn’t come our way because we got no chimneys, and
When Jesus finds no room at the inn, no room in your malls
No room in your cakes, carols, calories, candy and Christmas,
No room in your presents he will join us here in the manger.
And Santa doesn’t come here to smell dung and hay, ho ho ho!
Merry Christmas, we got the best present here at the manger!
